White Pony Express (WPE), a nonprofit organization based in Concord, has kicked off a heartfelt campaign to collect and distribute gift cards to those affected by the recent fires in Los Angeles County. This initiative is designed to provide survivors with the flexibility to address their immediate needs, allowing them to make choices that best suit their unique circumstances during this challenging time.
Each gift card will be accompanied by a personal, hand-written note of support, offering a message of love and encouragement to those in need. WPE is encouraging the public to spread the word and participate in this vital campaign.
“A gift card allows individuals to make their own choices about what they truly need,” explains Eve Birge, CEO of White Pony Express. “Many people receive gift cards during the holidays that they’d like to donate. Others can contribute practical cards that they believe will be the most helpful at this time.”
Those who wish to contribute can mail their gift cards to Eve Birge at WPE’s headquarters (2470 Bates Ave., Suite D, Concord, CA 94520), or drop them off in person. Volunteers are also invited to connect with WPE’s volunteer coordinator at [email protected] for information about card-making opportunities and other volunteer initiatives.
